Machine Handler

The Machine Handler is responsible for preparing, setting up, operating, testing, and maintaining production machinery. The role ensures that machines operate smoothly, efficiently, and at full capacity while meeting quality and safety standards. The Machine Handler works closely with the Production Manager and the Production Technical Assistant to identify and resolve machinery issues and supports production activities as required.

- Set up and adjust machines as required for production needs
- Perform daily basic maintenance on all machines in use
- Monitor machine performance during production runs
- Identify, report, and indicate when preventive or corrective maintenance is required
- Prepare and submit daily machine and production reports to the Production Manager and the Production Technical Assistant, including issues and observations.
- Work closely with the Production Manager and the Production Technical Assistant to troubleshoot and resolve machinery-related problems.
- Assist in production processes when needed.
- Learn and operate new machinery and follow new procedures as introduced.
- Ensure machines operate safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
Skills and Qualification Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in a machine-handling or production environment
- MAVO diploma or higher
- Strong affinity and interest in working with machinery
- Computer proficiency (basic reporting, monitoring, or machine-related systems)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in high-performance teams
- Good analytical, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively
