Quality Control Assistant

The Quality Control Assistant supports all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities to ensure smooth daily operations within the QA/QC department. The role focuses on maintaining product quality across raw materials, production processes, and finished goods, while ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.

Quality Control & Assurance
• Assist in implementing quality assurance systems and procedures across operations
• Perform testing and labeling of incoming raw materials, chemicals, and packaging
• Conduct QC testing on finished products and record results in production systems
• Maintain QC checklists and perform pre-production inspections
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Identify and report deviations or non-conformances to the Quality Manager
• Conduct initial assessment and recordkeeping of non-conforming products
• Ensure finished products are correctly labeled and released


Operational & Process Support

• Assist with quality control activities during production
• Inspect production equipment and report damage or maintenance needs
• Verify proper completion of product formulas by production teams
• Support continuous monitoring on the work floor to ensure compliance


Inventory & Organization

• Organize and maintain:
o Sample room
o Raw ingredient sample cabinets
o Chemical storage in warehouse
• Retest expired chemicals and update expiration dates
• Ensure proper tracking and software accuracy for chemical locations


Quality Monitoring & Compliance
• Ensure staff follow correct quality procedures and are properly trained
• Support inspection and testing throughout the production cycle
• Coordinate with production teams to reduce waste and non-conformance
• Maintain safe conditions in laboratory and production environments

• Associate (MBO) degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in English and Papiamento
• Basic computer proficiency
• Familiarity with production and quality systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions closely
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
• Organized, professional, and efficient
• Flexible and able to work in a dynamic production environment
