The vacancy

Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager

(Fixed-term, 2 years)

Now we're entering our next chapter. From our fields, factory and stores in Aruba, and our commercial hub in the Netherlands,
we're reimagining our brand, renewing our portfolio and preparing for international growth. If you'd like to help build the future of Aruba Aloe, we'd love to hear from you.

As Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, you make sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time — from ingredients
and packaging to parts and equipment. You lead our logistics and purchasing team, manage our suppliers and contract manufacturers, and keep imports and exports flowing smoothly. While our current Logistics Manager leads our portfolio rebranding project for the next two years, you keep daily operations stable and make sure our supply chain is ready for every new product we launch. In this role you will report into the Director of Operations.

Supply chain & inventory
• Manage the end-to-end supply of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, finished goods and operational supplies.
• Secure continuity of supply by spotting shortages, long lead times and supplier risks early, with contingency plans for critical materials.
• Align purchasing with production plans, lead times, minimum order quantities and available stock.
• Keep inventory healthy: prevent shortages and reduce excess and obsolete stock.

Procurement & supplier management
• Oversee local and international purchasing and guide the Procurement Officer on priorities, order timing and negotiations.
• Manage key supplier relationships and evaluate performance on quality, price, delivery and reliability.
• Select and qualify new and alternative suppliers to reduce dependency and lower costs.
• Review supplier and logistics contracts, support negotiations and track renewal dates, involving legal advisors where needed.
• Handle supplier claims and drive corrective actions together with Quality and Production.

Contract manufacturing
• Identify, evaluate and onboard third-party manufacturers on capability, capacity, quality, cost and fit.
• Make sure specifications, forecasts, orders and timelines are clearly agreed and followed through.
• Monitor performance and develop back-up options where capacity or performance is a risk.

Import, export & logistics
• Supervise import permits, customs documentation and duty-free import procedures.
• Manage export orders, including invoices, packing lists and Certificates of Origin.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers and customers, and act quickly on delays.
• Improve freight and logistics arrangements on cost and service.

Portfolio transition & continuous improvement
• Assess the supply impact of new products and SKU changes, and plan the phase-out of existing materials to minimize waste.
• Ensure materials are available in line with NPD timelines and escalate risks to launch dates early.
• Lead supply-chain improvement projects, including ERP, reporting and dashboards for purchasing, inventory and supplier performance.

Team leadership & compliance

• Lead, coach and develop the Logistics & Purchasing team, setting clear priorities and goals.
• Act as the supply-chain point of contact for Operations, Production, Quality, R&D, Finance and Marketing.
• Ensure compliance with customs and import/export rules, ethical purchasing practices, internal controls and audit requirements.

This role asks for a hands-on, commercially aware leader who thinks strategically, stays close to daily operations and enjoys making things work better.
• Strategic & analytical thinking
• Planning & organization
• Negotiation & supplier management
• Commercial awareness
• Decision-making under pressure
• People leadership
• Cross-functional collaboration
